El Alamein

In North Africa it first went as planned, but after an armor-type 1942 outside the Egyptian town of El-Alamein, the British won a decisive victory.
The Germans had very great difficulty to get the materials for it’s forces in North Africa. The German general Rommel's skills was still on track to give the Germans a victory. But in the second half of 1942 the Germans fortunes of the war began to turn.
The German Air Force was unable to produce aircraft at the same rate as the UK.
The result was that Rommel could’nt get enough strength to defeat the British in North Africa. General Montgomery, a new British commander, built his famous eighth army until it was strong enough to attack the Germans. The Germans were defeated and forced to flee. One part of the great German plan had failed.
The Battle was between 23 of October and 3th of November 1942.
